Oppo to bring N3, R5 smartphones to PH in December

SINGAPORE – Chinese technology manufacturer Oppo last Wednesday said it will be bringing to the Philippines its two newest products that the company believes will be cutting-edge in the smartphone industry.
Oppo will introduce the N3 and R5 to the Philippine market in December, amid competition from Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4.
Asked how they plan to compete against these two technology giants, Oppo Philippines Operations Manager Garrick Hung said it was never their company’s main goal to go against other brands.
“We try not to compete with other products. We just want to deliver the best to the customers. We want our consumers to experience Oppo as Oppo and not just in comparison with others,” he said.
Hung said the company has yet to get in touch with telecommunications companies which will carry either phone.
“As of the moment, we still haven’t initiated any talks with any network but that’s something we plan in 2015,” he said.
For now, Hung said they are just looking forward for their Filipino customers “to experience the best.”
The two smartphones were unveiled at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, which brought together close to 1,300 people who saw first-hand the newest features of the N3 and R5.
