As you probably already know by now, Meizu MX4 Pro will launch this month. Meizu didn’t give us an exact date of when might that happen, but the company is holding an event tomorrow. I don’t think they will launch the Meizu MX4 Pro there though, the teaser image released for that event doesn’t exactly scream “we’ll launch a new phone”. But we’re sure that Meizu will unveil it this month, if not tomorrow then some other date in November. Anyhow, one of the things we know about the phone is that it will sport a fingerprint sensors, we’ve seen tons of leaks of it and even Meizu’s very own VP mentioned it. It seems like that fingerprint chip will be provided by Huatian Technology, at least according to the latest report by ithome.com. It is still unknown whether the scanner will require a press or a slide of your finger, considering the report says that this company has been working on both of those. I hope Meizu will go with the “press” option, it’s more natural in my humble opinion.
According to the latest leak, Meizu MX4 Pro will be somewhat bigger than the original Meizu MX4. That is to be expected considering the leaks point to a 5.5-inch display on the Meizu MX4 Pro while the original MX4 sports a 5.36-inch panel. Talking about specs, according to a listing on GFXBench (which was confirmed by OppoMart’s listing later on) the device will sport a 5.5-inch QHD display which will probably by manufactured by Sharp. 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage will also be available on this device. On the back of the device you’ll be able to find a 20.7-megapixel camera (the same Sony’s sensor that the company included in the MX4) and a 2-megapixel snapper will be located on the front of the device. This handset will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4 OS on top of it. Black and White colors have been mentioned thus far, though there’s also a possibility Meizu will launch a Gold option as well, as they company did with the original MX4. This will be a 4G LTE device of course and will sport a 3100mAh battery. MX4 Pro will allegedly measure 144 x 75.2 x 8.9mm and weight 147 grams.
