How to reset your forgotten Apple ID password
Actually, on iPhone iOS 10, if you have enabled two- factor authentication, which can be done in Settings, you can reset your forgotten passwords directly. If you don’t have that, you can reset your forgotten Apple ID password on your computer by following these steps:
Step 1: First off, you open a browser and visit Appleid.apple.com on your device.
Step 2: Now, the top center of the page says Apple ID and Manage Your Apple Account. You can see beneath that is the login box, then you click on “Forgot Apple ID or Password?” which is a little further down.
Step 3: After that, you’ll see a page prompting you to enter your Apple ID.
Maybe, your Apple ID is easy to remember for you because it’s always an email address.
However, you can click “Forgot Your Apple ID?” to retrieve your Apple ID if you can’t remember it. Otherwise, you need to enter your Apple ID and then, click Continue.

Step 4: Next, you enter your trusted phone number and then, click Continue.
Step 5: Here, you have to choose whether to reset your password on a different phone or using the trusted number you gave.
Step 6: You will be instructed for resetting your Apple ID that you have been sent.
Step 7: Now, open the device listed. Here, you can see a message that pops up about resetting your password and then you choose Allow.
Step 8: Here, you can unlock the device by entering the passcode you use
Step 9: Lastly, you continue to enter your new password, verify it and click Next.
Now, you have a new Apple ID password to buy apps in the App Store, to sign in to iCloud, etc.
